My last 7 years were spent working for Champion Petfoods, makers of ACANA and ORIJEN Petfoods. I have either designed, or applied changes to nearly every bag or can that is currently on shelf in Canada and across the world. Both brands' packaging was typographically complex, and the continual challenge was figuring out how to simplify the messaging and overall design, despite how much content was required on each package. Over the years, the brands underwent extensive redesign, refresh and launch processes, 2020 being my busiest year, where while working remotely, I had my hands on an impressive 200 skus, as well as other projects. That works out to one full side of a bag, from briefing to production - every working day!
